Job description:

You will manage and execute projects from the early design stages to the commissioning and operation of both existing and future security systems. Your role will ensure that adequate controls and security measures are effectively identified and implemented to protect RWS assets and maintain robust security arrangements throughout.

  • Coordinate and lead planning sessions for project development and execution;
  • Reviewing consultant's design of integrated security systems (CCTV, Electronic Access Control, Intruder Detection and Alarm systems);
  • Manage the installation of integrated security systems to relevant standards and building codes from small-scale deployments to complex projects;
  • Develop and manage the comprehensive project plan, including scope definition, work breakdown schedules, resource allocation, and detailed timelines to support project delivery timelines;
  • Manage project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential delays or issues, to ensure project success;
  • Manage stakeholder expectations to maintain productive and engaged relationships;
  • Establish and maintain security systems costs plans and budgets, tracking costs and proactively identifying areas for optimization;
  • Conduct and manage the commissioning of security systems and witness testing, including Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) to guarantee optimal functionality;
  • Manage installation and configuration of video management systems and the integration with building management systems;
  • Perform on site-security performance assessments to identify security systems vulnerabilities;
  • Develop and maintain security systems documentation, including specifications, installation plans, operations & maintenance manuals;
  • Perform security penetration testing, audits and present and propose improvement; and
  • Execute any other roles as assigned by supervisors.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least 10 years of experience in project management related to security systems design or security consultancy.
  • Security by Design Expertise: Experience with the Security By Design process or prior experience as a Competent Person with CPS.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated success in managing projects within budget and strict timelines, with a proven track record of effective project delivery.
  • Security Knowledge: Deep understanding of security principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Certifications: Security-related certifications or accreditations such as PSP, CPP, or CP (Security) are advantageous.
  • Infrastructure Protection: Familiarity with or experience in Security-by-Design processes under the Infrastructure Protection Act is beneficial.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with proven ability to manage on-site installation teams effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze issues, develop innovative solutions, and make informed decisions to drive project success.
  • Independent & Multitasking: Capable of working independently, managing multiple priorities, and making quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Alignment: Ability to align with and support the company's vision and mission.
  • Conflict Resolution: Proven skills in conflict resolution and maintaining effective working relationships.
