The Sr. Manager of Recycling will lead the company's recycling initiatives, focusing on building a comprehensive recycling program, optimizing supplier networks, consolidating existing activities, and developing systematic recycling processes. This role is crucial for driving sustainability and maximizing income from recycling efforts.

About the role - you will:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Building:
    • Recruit, train, and manage a team dedicated to covering all aspects of recycling within the company.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment to drive recycling initiatives.
  • Identify and establish relationships with key suppliers to optimize the management of recycling materials.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure cost-effective and efficient recycling processes.
  • Activity Mapping and Consolidation:
    • Map all ongoing recycling activities across the company.
    • Consolidate these activities at the corporate level to streamline processes and maximize income.
    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and profitability of recycling operations.
  • Process Development:
    • Build and document systematic and repeatable recycling processes for each site and material type.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
    • Continuously improve recycling processes through regular reviews and updates.
  • Environmental Green Certificates and Credits:
    • Manage and optimize the company's portfolio of Environmental Green Certificates and green credits.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant environmental standards and regulations.
    • Identify opportunities to earn additional green credits through innovative recycling initiatives.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in recycling, waste management, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of recycling processes, materials, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to build and manage teams and supplier networks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in the high-tech industry.
  • Familiarity with sustainability reporting and compliance.

Working Conditions:

  • This position may require frequent travel to various company sites and supplier locations.
