Job Description
You will be part of the Retail leasing team based in Singapore, responsible for formulating and executing leasing strategies for properties within the retail portfolio. Highly sensitive to what is happening in the retail market, you will be able to identify market trends and capitalize on opportunities to secure new tenancies. This position calls for a highly energetic, driven professional with a diverse industry network; possessing analytical, communication, and collaboration skills as well as experience in leasing.
- You will report to the Cluster Head, Leasing or Deputy Head, Leasing.
- Responsible for leasing retail spaces in CapitaLand portfolio.
- Handle lease negotiations for new leases and renewals for the portfolio assigned.
- Plan and implement the tenancy mix for malls.
- Source and secure suitable tenants that fit into the desired tenant mix at the malls.
- Handle leasing enquiries and make necessary recommendations of retail spaces at the malls to prospects.
- Work closely with asset managers to achieve optimum mall occupancy/revenue.
- Work with malls to constantly strengthen and refresh trade mix with new and exciting retail concepts.
- Conduct market research to keep abreast of retail market and trends.
- Establish a strong network with retailers and tenants.
Requirements:
- Due to regulatory requirements, this role requires a valid CEA license.
- Degree or Diploma in Estate Management, Building, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in a similar capacity in the retail industry.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Possess a good network of tenants and contacts.
- Possess a positive disposition, resourcefulness, and be a team player.
- Sound understanding of the real estate and retail industries, preferably in shopping complexes.
- Computer literate with strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong report writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to multi-task and an eye for details.
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
