Job description

The HR Division comprises the Recruitment, HR Planning and Policy, Talent Management, HR Analytics, HR Operations, HR Partners and People Development & Planning Office departments.

The HR Policy unit drives the direction and development of HR policies to ensure market relevance and competitiveness.

You will have the opportunity to be involved in the following key areas of work:

  1. Drive the formulation and development of HR policies, procedures, and guidelines to meet organisational needs, keep pace with the market and ensure alignment with national directives.
  2. Engage key stakeholders in the design and review of policies to get buy-in and ensure robustness, coherence and implementable before effecting change.
  3. Review of current policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with Public Service Division.
  4. Ensure policy documents are kept up to date and published timely and accurately in circulars, EDMs and on A*STAR's intranet.
  5. Partner business units to understand business and workforce requirements and develop workforce plans to meet these demands, in line with A*STAR's manpower strategy.
  6. Work in a team to identify gaps, highlight key trends and advise senior management and stakeholders on policies, planning and procedures.

Job Requirements

  1. At least 1 year of relevant experience in HR
  2. Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills, good quantitative skills
  3. Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills with the ability to translate concepts into implementation plans
  4. Resourceful and motivated
  5. Able to work independently and in a team to deliver results under tight timelines
  6. Pro-active, attentive to details and results-oriented
