This role’s main objective and purpose is to run and drive GCEO’s business activities and engagements, as enablers in driving Singtel Group’s corporate strategy, with the primary responsibility of supporting GCEO in achieving maximum efficiency and effectiveness in all engagement platforms and business strategy cadence and progress.
This role works across GCEO Business Management and Engagement departments, and is the unofficial team lead for Group CEO Office, supervising Managers and Operations Support team members.
Make an Impact by:
Lead in the event planning engagements and events led by GCEO:
- Responsible for organizing internal corporate engagements led by GCEO including townhalls, Workshops and communication sessions (e.g. Leaders Business Updates, Top Executive Workshops, GCEO Townhalls/Communication Sessions, Overseas Board Trips, Strategic Mgmt Workshop, etc.)
- Develop theme and content for GCEO strategic topics and key messages to the organization on people and culture, compensation, blended working, strategic reset pillars, business direction
- Curate and ensure effectiveness of GCEO leadership brand and key direction and messages across Singtel Group
- Optimize the organization of events according to the audience, content, agenda/programme and format to ensure key messages are communicated effectively
- Take on increased accountability for liaison, negotiation and decisions made with external partners, such as production companies, venue sales teams, leadership development partners, external speakers and workshop content partners
- Act as unofficial Team Lead for Group CEO Office, overseeing the work of 1 Manager, 2 Management Associates and Senior Admin Executive(s).
- This role will take on Business Management, Group CEO Office work, including organizing Strategic Management Workshop (SMW) and running the AOP process.
- Responsible for Board engagement and events, including organizing Overseas Board Trip which requires extensive planning, facilitation and engagement with Board, senior stakeholders and colleagues across Singtel Group including Associates.
- Develop agenda, brief and content for Group CEO-led workshops for Board, MC and Top Executives and townhalls for Executives and the rest of our organization.
- Accountable for negotiations with venues, production companies, business/training consultants and external speakers for Group-wide scale rates.
- Achievements tied to Singtel Group Your Voice Survey engagement score, strategic reset progress and B.I.G. culture, through impact in Group CEO messaging and people & stakeholder engagement activities.
- Take on multiple new projects related to Singtel Group strategic reset, Future of Work / new ways of working as well as Group Purpose & B.I.G. culture, as and when required.
- Take on more end-to-end accountability for internal stakeholder management to achieve the required outcome of Group CEO Office activities and work.
Drive business management and operational cadence for GCEO
- Trusted partner to deliver efficient processes, decision-making, collaboration and corporate governance process across Singtel Group.
- Support some of Singtel’s key committees and be very involved in managing and facilitating senior management and Board-level meetings in key workshops and conferences.
- Play a key role in the following efforts and projects, which includes but are not limited to the following:
- Manage and publish integrated corporate calendar as directed by VP, Business Management and Snr Director, GCEO Office.
- Execute as primary support point of secretariat for key internal meetings (e.g. Group MC Meeting, FIC, OpCo / Corporate Functions updates, SMW etc.)
- Act as a key partner to Finance teams in running and managing the Annual Operating Plan and Budget setting.
- Support high-impact content generation and presentations for GCEO, Management Committee (MC) and the Board for key events.
- Work closely with various OpCos and Corporate Functions to manage key operational dashboards and KPIs, from target setting to monitoring and reviewing progress.
- Support key Group Level projects as necessary to assist GCEO and MC members.
- Deliver follow-ups from key events/projects and assist associated reviews.
Build and sustain content and activities to support Singtel’s Group Purpose and refreshed Core Values
- Contribute to the co-creation process of Group Purpose and refreshed Core Values and setting in place the pillars that drive the strategic reset focus areas.
- Co-ordinate across OpCos and Corporate Functions to cascade, activate and integrate Group Purpose and B.I.G culture throughout the organization.
- Contribute to continuous activation and embedding activities for Group Purpose, B.I.G. culture and refreshed Core Values across the organization.
Manage ad-hoc events and engagements that GCEO is involved in including external meetings and speaker requests.
- Develop content for GCEO presentations in strategic group-wide activities, for GCEO to deliver key messages to the organization.
- Conduct in-depth research and develop meeting brief to drive impactful outcome for GCEO meetings with external stakeholders, strengthening Singtel Group’s strong partnerships network.
- Build content for GCEO presentations to key stakeholders including Board of Directors for support of strategic direction and key messages, as required.
- Research on strategic information as required. Increase quality of briefs to Group CEO for external meetings and specific events such as Mobile World Congress.
Support Singtel Group’s Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process
- Lead in logistics planning for the entire AOP period working with stakeholders across all BUs (including managing the master AOP schedule for GCEO including dry-runs, and coordinating all meetings cadence requirements)
- Support in managing the content (inc. monitoring material submissions, conducting first cut sanity check on the submissions & ensuring timely upload of materials for MC members’ advanced reading)
Be the mentor to and oversee the Management Associates in Group CEO Office.
Skills for Success:
- A degree from a recognized university, preferably specializing in Business/Marketing.
- Possess minimum 5 years of relevant experience working in a large corporation.
- Competent and experienced in planning and implementation of corporate events.
- Competent in strategy and research, and content development and presentation to senior management
- Sharp business acumen with excellent interpersonal, facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Excellent organizational skills for event planning and management.
- Able to work well in a fast-paced environment with different stakeholders and manage different projects at the same time.
