This role’s main objective and purpose is to run and drive GCEO’s business activities and engagements, as enablers in driving Singtel Group’s corporate strategy, with the primary responsibility of supporting GCEO in achieving maximum efficiency and effectiveness in all engagement platforms and business strategy cadence and progress.
This role works across GCEO Business Management and Engagement departments, and is the unofficial team lead for Group CEO Office, supervising Managers and Operations Support team members.
Make an Impact by:
- Leading in the event planning engagements and events led by GCEO, including internal corporate engagements such as townhalls, workshops, and communication sessions.
- Developing themes and content for GCEO strategic topics and key messages to the organisation.
- Curating and ensuring effectiveness of GCEO leadership brand and key direction across Singtel Group.
- Optimizing the organization of events according to audience, content, agenda/programme, and format.
- Taking on increased accountability for liaison, negotiation, and decisions made with external partners.
- Acting as unofficial Team Lead for Group CEO Office, overseeing the work of team members.
- Managing business management tasks, including organizing Strategic Management Workshop (SMW) and running the AOP process.
- Organizing Board engagement and events, including Overseas Board Trips.
- Developing agenda, briefs, and content for Group CEO-led workshops and townhalls.
- Negotiating with venues, production companies, and external speakers for Group-wide scale rates.
- Achieving engagement scores and strategic reset progress through effective messaging and engagement activities.
- Taking on projects related to Singtel Group strategic reset and Future of Work initiatives.
- Managing internal stakeholder relationships to achieve outcomes for Group CEO Office activities.
Drive business management and operational cadence for GCEO:
- Acting as a trusted partner to deliver efficient processes and corporate governance across Singtel Group.
- Supporting key committees and managing senior management and Board-level meetings.
- Managing and publishing the integrated corporate calendar.
- Executing as primary support point of secretariat for key internal meetings.
- Partnering with Finance teams in managing the Annual Operating Plan and Budget setting.
- Generating high-impact content and presentations for GCEO and the Board.
- Managing key operational dashboards and KPIs.
- Supporting key Group Level projects as necessary.
- Delivering follow-ups from key events/projects.
Build and sustain content and activities to support Singtel’s Group Purpose and refreshed Core Values:
- Contributing to the co-creation process of Group Purpose and refreshed Core Values.
- Coordinating across OpCos and Corporate Functions to activate and integrate Group Purpose and B.I.G culture.
- Contributing to the continuous activation of Group Purpose and refreshed Core Values.
Manage ad-hoc events and engagements that GCEO is involved in:
- Developing content for GCEO presentations in strategic group-wide activities.
- Conducting in-depth research and developing meeting briefs for GCEO meetings.
- Building content for GCEO presentations to key stakeholders.
- Researching strategic information to enhance the quality of briefs for external meetings.
- Leading logistics planning for the AOP period.
- Managing content submissions and ensuring timely uploads for MC members’ reading.
Be the mentor to and oversee the Management Associates in Group CEO Office.
Skills for Success:
- A degree from a recognised university, preferably specialising in Business/Marketing.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a large corporation.
- Competent in planning and implementation of corporate events.
- Experienced in strategy and research, and content development for senior management.
- Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills for event planning and management.
- Able to work well in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
