Job description

The head of Total Rewards is responsible for developing and managing the company’s compensation and benefits strategy. This includes salary structures, incentives program and company benefits to ensure competitiveness and alignment with business goals.

Job Description

  • Develop and oversee the Company’s compensation and benefits strategies, including pay scales, salary structures, staff incentives, recognition and profit-sharing bonus programs to attract and retain talents. This should encompass policy development and formulation of a total reward structure.
  • Partner with HRBPs, Centre of Excellence (e.g., TM/OD team) and business leaders to ensure our reward approach drives performance and business objectives.
  • Perform job evaluation and job sizing, compensation, and benefits analysis. Conduct market-related pay research/benchmarking and review reward package periodically to maintain competitiveness or make adjustments and improvements to current policies and programs.
  • Conduct evaluation to measure the effectiveness of the Company’s compensation and benefits programs in attracting, retaining, and motivating employees.
  • Review and communicate the rewards philosophy to staff.
  • Review and develop recognition programs.
  • Participate and support negotiations with labour unions or employee representatives regarding compensation and benefits packages.
  • Provide guidance to HRBPs and support HRBPs in complaint resolution and handling of employee inquiries related to compensation and benefits.
  • Oversee the development and optimization of HRIS structure to ensure accurate and efficient compensation data management, enabling seamless salary reviews, incentives calculations, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with HR teams to ensure alignment between compensation and benefits and other HR functions, such as recruitment.
  • Provide guidance to senior management on compensation and benefits decisions that support the Company’s strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Good degree in any discipline.
  • At least 10 years of relevant in-house Total Rewards (or Compensation & Benefits).
  • Past employment of at least 5 years in Consultancy Firm(s) specializing in compensation and benefits will be an advantage.
  • Certification in Global Remuneration Professional (GRP) preferred.
  • Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, and influencing skills are critical for this role.
