Pathlight School is the first autism-focused school in Singapore to offer the national curriculum together with life readiness skills. It caters to students on the autism spectrum with related conditions, aged 7 to 18 years, who are cognitively able to access the national curriculum but require additional support such as smaller class sizes, special accommodations, and teaching staff trained in autism.

The Human Resources team manages the heart of the organization (i.e., its people), from recruitment and training to employee engagement and relations. You will drive the strategy and implementation of learning and development programs that build staff capabilities, support employee engagement, and foster a culture of continuous learning. You will also play a key role in the organization’s leadership development and culture building.

Reporting to the Senior Director, HR, we are looking for a passionate and progressive individual to lead the Learning & Development function to:

  • Partner with the organization’s leaders to build capacity and capabilities to achieve the organization’s business plans.
  • Cultivate a strong learning environment where every staff member is empowered as a self-directed lifelong learner and can grow to be a leader of character and competence, achieving both personal and professional mastery.

As a Senior Manager, HR L&D, your impact & contribution includes:

  • Developing learning strategies that can build the capacity and capabilities of staff.
  • Leading the development and execution of a comprehensive learning & development framework for key job families with learning roadmaps to bridge current and future skill gaps in alignment with the Competency Framework.
  • Overseeing leadership development and core programs and facilitating applications.
  • Driving staff development planning at the organization and department level with leaders where staff are encouraged to be self-directed. Working with leaders to establish core and elective programs as a guide.
  • Managing all learning programs in the organization, including administration, data-driven learning evaluations/effectiveness, and maintaining the Learning Management System that can provide useful reports to leaders as well as staff. This includes managing the cohorts attending the mandatory Diploma in Special Education programs.
  • Facilitating the Professional Development Sponsorship Scheme where aspiring staff with potential can be sponsored for academic professional qualifications relevant to our business needs in the areas of education and allied professions.
  • Managing the Learning & Development budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and ROI on learning programs and initiatives.
  • Staying updated on best practices and the latest trends in Learning & Development to ensure learning initiatives for the organization are relevant and impactful.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in talent development, learning and development, or related fields, preferably within the education sector.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing effective talent development strategies and programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess training needs and measure program effectiveness.
  • Leadership experience with a proven ability to inspire and mentor staff.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
