Job Summary
The Senior Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient management and operational excellence of facilities while ensuring compliance with safety standards, legal regulations, and governance policies. This role also involves overseeing inspections, procurement processes, and designing training programs for staff, workers, and management. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills to align operational practices with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Facility Management
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and operations of all organizational facilities to ensure functionality, safety, and efficiency.
• Develop and manage budgets for facility operations, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.
• Monitor and improve energy usage, sustainability measures, and waste management systems.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for facility-related projects and maintenance.
2. Safety Management
• Design and implement safety protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure adherence to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards and other legal safety requirements.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
3. Compliance and Governance
• Ensure organizational compliance with all regulatory and legal standards across operations.
• Develop and enforce policies and procedures aligned with industry best practices and governance requirements.
• Conduct internal audits to identify areas of non-compliance and address them proactively.
•Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and authorities for inspections and certifications.
4. Inspections and Audits
• Plan, schedule, and lead periodic facility and safety inspections.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure follow-up actions are completed within deadlines.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to prepare for audits and certifications.
5. Procurement and Vendor Management
• Oversee procurement strategies, ensuring timely acquisition of materials and services while maintaining cost-efficiency.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships, ensuring quality standards and timely delivery of goods and services.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and ethical sourcing practices.
6. Training and Development
• Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for staff, workers, and management on safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
• Conduct periodic refresher courses to ensure knowledge retention and policy updates.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and performance metrics.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization.
Requirement:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8–12 years of experience in facility management, safety, compliance, procurement, or governance.
• At least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Experience in regulatory compliance and risk management is essential.
