Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Coordinates the University's efforts to analyze, develop, implement and maintain the campus space planning for NUS campuses.
  2. Driving campus initiatives in space optimisation and management through the use of technology and analyze current space usage and develop strategies to optimize existing spaces. Recommend reconfigurations or renovations to enhance functionality and efficiency.
  3. Engage with faculty, staff, and administration to understand space requirements. Facilitate communication across departments, providing guidance on efficient space utilization.
  4. Establishes and implements effective unit operating policies, systems, and procedures that are consistent with overall organizational goals, objectives, policies and operating standards.
  5. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Tertiary qualification in related building, business and policy making disciplines.
  2. Minimum 8 to 10 years experience in Building related fields - Architecture / Design / Real Estate/ Urban planning/ Engineering and relevant experience in the Institute of Higher Learning (IHL) with strong analytical capabilities will be of advantage.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge in the arenas of planning and design, environmental sustainability, site design, architecture, space planning and/or engineering disciplines.
  4. Good communication skills to communicate effectively with project stakeholders and able to apply critical thinking skills to resolve complex issues.
  5. A responsible team player, self-motivated and abilities to coordinate multiple priorities/actions holistically to achieve desired results.
  6. Strong computer skills, to include Microsoft Word/Excel and PowerPoint for presentation and knowledge of software such as AutoCAD/REVIT/GIS including BIM will be preferred.
  7. Ability to be versatile and agile with a growth mindset.
