Job description

MINDS has been caring for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (PWIDs) and their families since 1962. Job Responsibilities

  1. Support the Director and Dy Director to drive the Aging and Transition programmes within MINDS by planning, delivering and evaluating the programmes.
  2. Work directly with Allied Health practitioners, educators, operational service delivery staff and caregivers to build necessary capabilities for effective operationalisation of the identified programmes within MINDS.
  3. Manage and lead Aging programme and Transition teams consisting of AHPs, case managers, training officers and transition support officers, where appropriate.
  4. Collaborate with the relevant departmental managers, principals or MINDS directors to drive evidence based practice in the identified services and programmes.
  5. Manage service/programme outcomes evaluation projects as well as evidence-based and contemporary clinical practice and service delivery at the local level, and as directed by the Director and Dy Director (Central Cluster).
  6. Plan and drive pilot/trial assistive technology projects to improve outcomes of clients in the identified programmes.
  7. Lead the selection and implementation of appropriate solutions using analytics and visualisation for the reporting for programme outcomes.
  8. Oversee the identification and implementation of best-practice tools and strategies to translate raw programme data into valuable operational insights to identify current gaps and future trends in the areas of aging and transition and propose solutions e.g. new service delivery models.
  9. Develop proposals and submit applications for funding grants, where appropriate.
  10. Manage the timely and effective delivery of KPIs and milestones of grants received.
  11. Lead the development and management of programme collaterals, resources and materials.
  12. Oversee inventory management of equipment and materials relevant to the identified programmes.
  13. Plan and manage the short-term development targets and competency building for staff in the Aging and Transition programmes.
  14. Lead the planning and delivery of induction and orientation for team members. Plan and manage professional development courses of team members.

Qualifications

  1. At least a Bachelor's degree in social services, gerontology or relevant allied health discipline (e.g. Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech-Language Therapy, Nursing or other relevant social services professions) from a recognised university.

Other Information

  1. A minimum of 6 years of working experience in the field of disability, eldercare and/or other relevant areas in the social services sector.
  2. Demonstrated experience in programme operations management.
  3. High level of written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders (e.g. teachers, training officers, AHPs and management).
  4. Experience in writing reports and papers with minimal guidance.
  5. Demonstrated capacity to supervise, train and mentor.
  6. Self-motivated and demonstrated ability to work independently.
  7. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Good teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  8. Certifications in areas such as project management/implementation science/design thinking and other relevant areas is highly valued.
