What you will do

The Maintenance Technician is responsible to perform day to day maintenance activities to support Biologics and API manufacturing operations at Amgen Singapore Manufacturing.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Execute maintenance work orders including condition monitoring, failure finding, and corrective maintenance
2. Assist in plant testing, commissioning and qualification activities
3. Perform hands-on maintenance e.g. overhaul valves, replace filters, replace pump seals, replace fan belts and diaphragm replacement
4. Trouble shoot equipment safety and reliability issues e.g. participate in root cause analysis and problem solving
5. Provide frontline support by performing basic repair and troubleshooting to maintain system including associated controls and equipment in good condition.
6. Coordinate with Planner, Utilities, Manufacturing teams for system shutdown maintenance or between each champion by performing Lock Out Tag out in accordance to Safe Work Procedures.
7. Adhere to Amgen Safe work practices and develop Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) related to Maintenance works
8. Assist Engineer to perform advance analytical/trouble shooting work during investigation.
9. Manage of team of services provider during shut down/major maintenance activities.

What we expect of you

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of directly related experience OR
2. Associate’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic and 4 years of directly related experience OR
3. High School Diploma in Mechanical or Mechatronic / GED and 6 years of directly related experience
4. Preferred Mechanical or Mechatronic Diploma certification from local institutions.
5. Minimum 1 year working equivalent experience in the fix and rotating equipment in pharmaceuticals, refinery or chemical industries will be considered
6. Work in assigned working hour and willing to be scheduled for call out during non-office hours to support manufacturing emergencies
7. Competency in basic computer skill.
8. Good interpersonal and communication skill
9. Availability and willingness to work on rotating shift
