We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to develop and maintain functional and secure networks. You will mentor and lead a small team of Network engineers to troubleshoot and optimize our networks for supporting various NETS products and services.
In this role, you should have excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of network administration and architecture. If you’re also passionate about security and data protection, we’d like to meet you.
Key Responsibilities
Design, Deploy, Implement and Support Network LAN/WAN infrastructure (MPLS, ISP and ISDN)
Work with various stakeholders within and across the organization on analyzing the requirements for Network infrastructure, VOIP/Desktop/Video connectivity to design & create effective Network Solutions
Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)
Implement configurations in accordance to the organization’s change management policies and procedures
Design network related proof of concepts and configuration to Application Support teams for implementation.
Track the refresh of End-of-Life Network related hardware/software solutions and platforms
Able to be on 24/7 standby roster on a rotational basis within the team to handle support issues
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science or relevant technology disciplines, with at least 5 years of working experience in Network engineering role in a medium to large sized organization
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification preferred
In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF)
Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools)
Strong domain knowledge in VOIP, BGP, IPSEC and EIGRP
Familiar with Cisco routers and switches (Nexus and Catalyst), Checkpoint, Palo Alto, McAfee and Fortinet firewalls.
In-depth understanding of IT Infrastructure; network & server system monitoring, change and configuration management
Prior experience in implementation of large scale Network solutions in the payments industry would be highly advantageous
