Senior/Lead Business Analyst

We are seeking an accomplished Business Analyst with strong analytical skills to work on projects, defining business needs, optimizing processes, and guiding solution delivery. Candidates with significant experience in stakeholder management and team leadership may qualify for the Lead Business Analyst level, carrying broader accountability and oversight.

Key Responsibilities

1. Requirements Gathering and Documentation
   • Elicit and verify requirements, translating operating concepts into functional requirements.
   • Plan and participate in co-operative sessions with stakeholders and manage requirements by continuously clarifying and reviewing them via prototype walkthrough with stakeholders.
   • Lead requirement gathering phase.
2. Business Requirements and Process Analysis
   • Map existing workflows and propose process improvements aligned with business objectives.
   • Analyze and document business requirements and translate them into user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria.
   • Identify gaps, recommend solutions and define key performance indicators.
3. Stakeholder Engagement
   • Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and communicate effectively with stakeholders, project managers, and project leads.
   • Provide status updates, clarify requirements, and manage expectations throughout the project life cycle.
   • Serve as primary contact for stakeholders, support project scope negotiations and high-level decision-making aligning project deliverables.
4. Solution Validation
   • Work closely with UX designers to organize research activities such as product conceptualization workshops and Usability Testing.
   • Facilitate user acceptance testing, collaborate with test engineers and business users to plan and monitor progress. Ensure user acceptance testing reaches successful completion.
   • Review test cases, business model/processes. Analyze integration between modules and interfaces with other systems, ensuring solutions meet documented requirements.
5. Risk and Change Management
   • Assess the impact of requirement changes and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
   • Ensure proper change control processes are followed and documented.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology, Engineering (Computer / Telecommunication) or equivalent.
• Minimum 4-5 years of proven experience in a senior Business Analyst role.
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with web-based and business process software systems implementation.
• Able to understand and interpret requirements leading to technical implementation.
• Good understanding of UI/UX concepts and experience in HTML, CSS and JavaScript for rapid prototyping is a plus.
• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills with a high level of initiative.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, data-driven, customer focused, and a quick learner.
• Able to engage stakeholders, manage their expectations and control scope in a client-vendor setting.
