Senior / Lab Analyst

The senior lab analyst in the Analytical Service Laboratory in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards, plays a multifaceted role that encompasses precise chemical analysis, adherence to quality management systems, and active participation in production-related activities.

This position is designed to contribute to the laboratory's commitment to ISO/IEC 17025 standards while also supporting production processes to meet organizational objectives.

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for improving safety culture through strong participation and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations, procedures, and protocols.
2. Responsible for 5S activities in Lab and Housekeeping inspections.
3. Responsible for all relevant risk assessments activities to ensure risk assessments are done and documented.
4. Responsible for timely reporting of all near misses and incidents within the Lab.
5. Responsible for chemical consumable inventories staying within HS License limits.
6. Accountable for day-to-day sample planning and scheduling, with the objective to accurately and timely deliver COAs and analytical reports.
7. Accountable and responsible to carry out sampling activities in the Lab related to ICP-MS, ICP-OES, GC, GCMS, IC, and Wet chemistry.
8. Accountable to develop, update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and other quality documents.
9. Accountable for all the waste management generated from the day-to-day operations.
10. Accountable for maintaining and enforcing cleanroom regulations for all personnel, vendors, and visitors.
11. Accountable for vendor management to ensure equipment upkeep by timely execution of calibration, preventive, and corrective maintenance activities in adherence to regulatory and quality assurance standards.
12. Accountable for LIMs (Sample Manager) system management.
13. Accountable for root cause(s) investigation and timely CAPA closure for laboratory equipment failure and result abnormalities.
14. Responsible for internal ISO 9001, ISO 14001, SS651 and ISO17025 audits and technical representative for ISO17025 external audits.
15. Responsible for implementation of Management of Change (MOC) policy for all changes.
16. Responsible for application of statistical methods and tools for comparison and performance verification. Monitor control charts to identify need for new standards or instrument maintenance.
17. Support new method development and new equipment validation activities as required.
18. Accountable for training and mentoring of Lab analysts, fostering skill enhancement and professional development.
19. Other works as assigned by the Manager.

Requirement:

1. Bachelor's degree from a chemistry and relevant discipline
2. Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in chemical laboratory of chemical/analytical laboratory
3. To supervise and train lab staff on SM12.3 and ISO 17025 compliance
4. Must be able to differentiate color for work purposes
5. Will be required to work in the vicinity of chemicals and wear various PPE like chemical clothing and respiratory masks.
6. This role is required to work shifts.
