Senior IT Manager (West, up to $16,000 + VB + Allowance)

Responsibilities

• Align IT strategies with overall business goals and analyze business requirements and technological trends to develop strategic IT plans that enhance efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness.
• Manage resources such as budget, personnel, and equipment efficiently, ensuring that projects stay within budget and optimizing resource utilization.
• Lead and supervise a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure cohesive and efficient operations.
• Oversee various IT projects from conception to completion, defining project scope, setting timelines, allocating resources, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely delivery within budget.
• Work with external vendors to procure software, hardware, and services, evaluating proposals, negotiating contracts, and managing relationships for optimal value.
• Ensure the security of the organization's IT infrastructure and data by implementing cybersecurity measures, monitoring for breaches, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Evaluate new technologies for suitability, overseeing implementation and ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Provide technical support to end-users, organizing training programs on new technologies and best practices.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to IT systems, developing disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Requirements

• Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of relevant working experience is required.
• Experience in IT project management.
• Experience in managing a team of IT professionals.
