Senior Investment Analyst

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Investment Analyst to join our dynamic investment team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in equity analysis, index strategy, and quantitative modeling. This role involves generating actionable investment ideas, enhancing quantitative frameworks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize trading strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investment Analysis: Conduct comprehensive qualitative and quantitative analyses to identify high-conviction investment opportunities across global and thematic indexes.
• Forecasting & Modeling: Build and refine predictive models for index changes, fund flows, and trade volume analysis, leveraging statistical and technical methods to drive investment strategies.
• Index Strategy Development: Design and implement index rebalancing strategies, with a proven track record of anticipating market changes and optimizing portfolio performance.
• Quantitative Infrastructure Enhancement: Collaborate with programming teams to upgrade and expand the quantitative infrastructure, improving workflow efficiencies and tool functionalities.
• Market Monitoring: Stay abreast of market developments, providing timely updates and insights to internal teams and clients regarding potential impacts on investment strategies.
• Performance Tracking: Analyze investment performance metrics, ensuring the generation of actionable investment calls that exceed established targets.
• Client Engagement: Publish insightful reports and respond to queries from internal stakeholders and external clients, enhancing communication and collaboration.

Required Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; additional relevant certifications (CFA, FRM) preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in investment analysis, equity research, index research, or portfolio management, preferably in a high-paced financial environment.
• Strong proficiency in quantitative modeling, with experience in factor-based investing and statistical arbitrage strategies.
• Exceptional analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to generate actionable insights and outperform market benchmarks.
• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., VBA, Java, SQL, Python) and experience with automation tools to enhance analytical processes.
• Experience with common investment industry analytics and research tools such as Bloomberg, Reuters/Eikon, FactSet, and/or Wind
• Experience working within a leading, global, multi strategy hedge fund platform in Asia
• Experience working with large European, US and Asian investment banks
• At least five years’ experience in a leading global index provider, such as MSCI, FTSE, or S&P
• Fluency in English and Chinese preferred
