(Senior) Investigation Officer - Ops & Outreach (2 yr Contract)

What the role is
The Consumer Product Safety, Weights & Measures Office of Enterprise Singapore safeguards consumer safety and fair transactions through weights and measures in Singapore. As a Regulatory Officer in the Consumer Product Safety, Weights & Measures Office, you will develop and implement programmes to protect consumer interests and safety.

What will you be working on
Administer Enterprise Singapore’s Consumer Product Safety and Weight & Measures Regimes, which requires you to:

1. Advise businesses and consumers on regulatory requirements and handle public feedback/ enquiries professionally.
2. Plan and execute public outreach programmes to increase consumer awareness.
3. Assess and designate competent bodies for testing and verifying compliance of consumer products and weighing & measuring instruments used for trade.
4. Participate in local and international technical working group discussions to review and ensure relevance of product safety and weights and measures standards.
5. Conduct regular policy, process, and legislation reviews.
6. Develop expertise in regulated consumer products and weighing & measuring instruments.

What are we looking for

1. Qualifications in Engineering, Science, or similar fields preferred.
2. At least 3 years of experience in regulatory compliance/audit programmes preferred.
3. Experience in conceptualising and implementing outreach campaigns advantageous.
4. Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical and writing skills.
5. Resourceful, proactive, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
