Understand the Leighton Asia HR Policies and practices defined by the corporate HR function and the organisation’s overall talent strategy.
Communicate and implement current policies/practices, policy changes and new HR initiatives at project level; Seek support from Head Office (HO).
Coordinate with respective team leads for allocation of tasks to team members as per plan.
Analyse movement in volume of requests over time and highlight any downward/upward trend to supervisor for additional resource planning
Recruitment, promotions & transfers
Review tracker shared by the project teams for open positions
Coordinate with project teams to identify and promote existing personnel to fill openings prior to external recruitment
Liaise with the recruitment team to close pending openings in order of criticality
Identify resource requirements across projects and recommend employees for transfer based on project requirements, past performance of employees and employees’ own preferences
Coordinate with project teams and HO to complete the transfer process and for appropriate contract extensions/terminations
Performance Management
Coordinate with project teams to oversee implementations of the performance development review (PDR) process on the projects within stipulated timelines.
Explain the PDR process in its current form and any changes from the previous cycle, as applicable, to the project teams.
Share existing process documents, templates, etc.; Oversee timely completion of the process and related documentation/submission.
Seek support from Project Director to expedite the process in case of any delays.
Training & Development
Collate Appraisal results and identify training needs of individuals in line with the same
Create training calendar for each project and share with the Project Director and respective department heads
Track completion of training programmes via the training calendar; Follow-up with respective project teams and escalate to Project Manager, if required
Grievance handling & employee welfare
Act as intermediary between employees for dispute resolution; Identify employee grievances on project sites and share the information with the Project Director, departments heads for resolution
Share relevant information with healthcare providers for prompt & timely healthcare services to personnel
Coordinate with healthcare providers to obtain “fit to work” certification for personnel post treatment
People management
Set objective goals, evaluate performance of subordinates and provide them regular feedback
Identify performance gaps in subordinates and provide necessary support to close such gaps
Recognize and encourage high performing subordinates
Train and mentor subordinates on technical as well as behavioral aspects of their respective roles
Provide opportunities to the team to develop their capabilities
Requirement
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Human Resource Management, Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Preferably Executives specializing in Human Resources or equivalent.
