About The Role

Work Location: Regional Technology & Innovation Centre, Biopolis, Singapore

Reporting To: VP Taste

Key Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for Flavor creation projects within SEA.
  2. Independently lead projects, developing flavors in line with business need and in response to customer brief.
  3. Proactively work with new ingredients.
  4. Utilize Kerry technology to deliver unique solutions to project brief.
  5. Work closely with all EUMs (End Use Markets) within Kerry.
  6. Lead technical presentations and working sessions with customers.
  7. Interact with key customers regionally or globally to understand requirements and build solid relationships.
  8. Mentoring and training the flavor creation team.
  9. Perform physical, chemical, and organoleptic testing and analysis of flavors.
  10. Work with analytical group on flavor matching projects.
  11. Employ thorough knowledge of relevant regulatory and labeling requirements for flavors.
  12. Work with cross-functional team to optimize the strengths of Kerry and deliver the best Taste and Nutrition experience for our customers.
  13. Participate in sensory panels.
  14. Attend industry events and seminars to further flavor knowledge, network, and scout for talent.
  15. Act as a Subject Matter Expert in certain categories.

Qualifications And Skills

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or similar field.
  2. Minimum 10 years industry experience of active flavor work on the bench.
  3. Strong background in organic chemistry, food chemistry, and flavor applications.
  4. Good math skills for problem-solving calculations.
  5. Trouble-shooting skills, with strong and discerning sense of smell and taste.
  6. Broad flavor experience across end-use with specialization is desirable.
  7. Passionate for flavor creations and strong ability for problem-solving and complaint resolution.
