Job Summary – Senior Fire Safety Manager

The Senior Fire Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing fire safety operations, ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations, and maintaining firefighting facilities for the assigned property. The role involves planning, executing, and supervising fire emergency procedures to safeguard occupants and property assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee fire safety compliance and maintenance of firefighting facilities within the assigned property.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure adherence to fire safety measures.
• Submit the annual report to the Fire Safety Bureau (FSB) for fire certificate renewal.
• Develop and implement an effective Fire Safety Management Programme, including monthly fire safety inspections.
• Ensure preventive maintenance of all fire protection systems by vendors or their local agents.
• Monitor occupant load limits to comply with fire code regulations.
• Identify and address fire hazard conditions within the property.
• Assist the Employer/Client in complying with fire safety requirements and emergency planning as per the Fire Safety Act.
• Ensure the fire emergency plan is implemented and followed at all times.
• Formulate and execute fire emergency drills to familiarize occupants with evacuation procedures.
• Train and guide site staff in coordinating firefighting and evacuation procedures during emergencies.
• Supervise and manage the fire command centre in the event of a fire or other emergencies.
• Perform additional duties as required by the Commissioner under the Fire Safety Act.
