Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly analytical Financial Analyst to join our finance team. As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting financial analysis, generating financial reports, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. You will play a crucial role in assessing financial performance, identifying trends, and recommending actions to optimize business operations. The ideal candidate possesses strong quantitative skills, a solid understanding of financial principles, and the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
1. Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop annual budgets and forecasts.
- Assist in the preparation of budget guidelines, assumptions, and templates.
- Review and analyze budget proposals, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Monitor budget performance, prepare variance reports, and provide explanations for budget deviations.
2. Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Gather and analyze financial data to assess the company's financial performance and identify areas of improvement.
- Prepare financial reports, including budget vs. actuals analysis, variance analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Monitor and track financial metrics, such as profitability, liquidity, and other ratios, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Manage Capex process including budget, commitment and actual tracking with variance analysis.
- Support cashflow management.
3. Financial Modelling and Decision Support:
- Build financial models to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and scenario analysis.
- Evaluate the financial feasibility and potential return on investment (ROI) of new projects or business ventures.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to stakeholders based on financial modelling and analysis.
4. Financial Systems and Process Improvement:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve financial systems and processes.
- Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency enhancements.
- Participate in the implementation and testing of financial systems and tools.
5. Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years’ experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar financial role.
- Solid understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial statement analysis.
- Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and analysis using spreadsheets and financial software (e.g., Excel, financial databases).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to think strategically.
- Team player with positive attitude.
