Senior Finance Officer (Accounts Payable, Maternity Cover)

The Senior Accounts Payable Officer will be responsible for managing and processing accounts payable transactions efficiently and accurately. This involves the timely booking of invoices for one-time payments to suppliers, which would secure our supply chain continuity.

Role & Responsibilities:

1. Process and review accounts payable transactions, including invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders.
2. Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers.
3. Reconcile vendor statements of accounts monthly and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
4. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, e.g., prepare closing balance sheet schedules.
5. Prepare and process payments, including electronic transfers and cheque issuance.
6. Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to resolve accounts payable and payment-related queries.
7. Assist with the preparation of reports and analysis related to accounts payable.
8. Adhere to company policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards.
9. Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

Requirements:

1. Prior experience working in accounts payable in a modern ERP system (e.g., SAP ECC6 or JD Edwards E1).
2. Experience with an Invoice Management system (e.g., Esker Invoice Management).
3. Intermediate user of Microsoft Excel (e.g., use of lookups, pivots, and simple data cleansing functions).
4. Some basic knowledge of Singapore GST is an advantage.
5. Polytechnic Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent.
