Senior / Finance Manager

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare budget, forecast and financial statements on a timely basis.
2. Perform month-end closing of accounts including review of the financial statements before circulation to management.
3. Oversee all aspects of the financial reporting cycle including general ledger, accounts receivable and accounts payable (local and overseas; cash receipts; costing etc).
4. Review daily cash management.
5. Review inventory with various heads on open transit notes, adjustments etc.
6. Review monthly audit schedules, reconciliations and reports prepared by the finance team.
7. Review quarterly and half-yearly reports for submission to Regional Finance, including preparation of salient report.
8. Prepare quarterly GST returns, local statutory tax compliance and reconciliation.
9. Analyse performance regularly and provide variance explanations and recommendations for operations.
10. Ensure an effective internal control environment is maintained in compliance with policies and procedures, authority limits and all accounting standards.
11. Oversee analysis of the accounting treatment and recording of non-standard accounting transactions.
12. Liaison with auditors, bankers and tax agent.
13. Assist in ad-hoc projects assigned.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in accountancy / ACCA.
2. Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in supervisory role.
3. Prior experience in the retail industry will be an added advantage.
4. Speed and accuracy in terms of work quality.
5. Mature and able to lead, motivate the team and create cohesiveness in the team.
6. Able to work with various departments, suppliers, vendors.
7. High proficiency in Excel.
8. Strong problem-solving & analytical skills.
9. Well organised and structured thought process.
10. Meticulous with attention to details.
11. Able to multi-task and work under pressure.
