Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-orientated Senior Finance Executive / Assistant Finance Manager (Maternity Cover) to support the financial operations during the maternity leave period of 6 months. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, cash flow, budgeting, and compliance while ensuring smooth day-to-day finance activities. This role requires a hands-on approach and familiarity with the F&B or retail industry to provide strategic financial support during the transition period.

Job Description

  • Assist in managing accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger (GL), and account reconciliations.
  • Oversee daily finance operations, including invoice processing, expense management, and financial transactions.
  • Support the monthly and annual financial closing process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, P&L reports, and balance sheets.
  • Ensure timely submission of GST filings, tax compliance, and other statutory requirements.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities in alignment with corporate guidelines.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and resolve financial matters.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, account reconciliations, and payment schedules to maintain financial stability.
  • Facilitate a smooth handover process before and after the maternity cover period.
  • Document and communicate key financial processes to the permanent Finance Manager.
  • Provide interim financial insights and recommendations to support business continuity.
  • Assist in the implementation of new financial processes and systems as needed.

Job Requirement

  • Degree/Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA, ACCA is a plus).
  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, preferably in the F&B or retail industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore accounting standards, GST regulations, and tax compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business central or similar).
  • Hands-on experience in budgeting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly.
  • Independent, detail-oriented, and highly organized, with a proactive approach to managing financial operations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
