Job description

Job highlights:

  • The prospective candidate works in the Singapore-based regional office of Agribusiness-Connect Asia Pte Ltd, managing the accounting and financial reporting of Clients’ activities and strictly adhering to Clients’ guidelines.
  • Assist in regional accounting and finance in Southeast Asia for the company, working closely with the Country Representatives and other staff to provide support as requested.
  • Coordinate daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions.
  • Responsible for financial and reporting functions including cash flow, claims handling and budgeting.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Review and process employee and contractor expense claims in multiple currencies, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of client transactions, budgets, and compliance documentation for audit purposes.
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations, monitor payments and receipts, close monthly accounts, and compute foreign exchange differences for management reporting.
  • Ensure timely client invoicing and settlement, provide accurate updates, and resolve issues promptly to foster positive client relationships.
  • Oversee cash flow, bank relations, and foreign exchange needs, minimizing idle funds.
  • Track monthly client account budgets, prepare budget reports, and support year-end budgeting with the Finance team.
  • Demonstrate expertise in company SOPs, guide new team members, and conduct training on expense claim templates.
  • Apply accounting standards and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Coordinate with auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
  • Complete other accounting-related tasks as required by management.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience or more in a similar capacity. Experience with client account finance management and or supervisory skills is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance, or equivalent. A diploma holder with more than 5 years experience with good and strong accounting experience may be considered.
  • Written and spoken proficiency in English language is a requirement as our client is English speaking.
  • Good analytical, problem solving and numerical skills.
  • Minimum intermediate level proficiency in XERO accounting software and MS Excel. Experience in Adobe, MS Word and Outlook will be an advantage.
  • Dynamic, driven, and proactive.
  • Team player with good organizational and communication skills, meticulous, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Able to commence work immediately or on short notice, is preferred.
