Mission of the Position
The primary mission for the Assistant Centre Manager is to actively support and contribute to the overall success of the Aureus centre under their purview. Working directly with the Centre Manager, the Assistant Centre Manager plays a pivotal role in executing the established sales strategies and systems. The focus will be on achieving business and revenue growth, elevating customer satisfaction levels, and enhancing employee satisfaction within the assigned centres. The Assistant Centre Manager drives scalable sales initiatives aligned with divisional goals, fostering a positive environment through proactive collaboration. Primary responsibilities involve driving sales and event management, overseeing day-to-day operations, executing training programs, and providing mentorship to staff. Tasked with optimizing strategies to meet and exceed set goals. The Assistant Centre Manager actively contributes to performance enhancement initiatives, coordinating events and marketing campaigns to maximize growth productivity.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the monthly GL closing process including oversight of AR, AP and FA closing for Aureus Group of companies
- Review of P&L and Balance Sheet schedule
- Supervise a team of accounting and finance personnel
- Manage inventory reconciliation and review monthly GTO report
- Overseas IFRS 116 Lease accounting
- Manage bank reconciliation
- Manage Income tax, GST and other tax reporting required by IRAS
- Manage internal control process (Inventory/AP/AR/FA, etc)
- Assist Financial Controller in preparation of monthly reporting, cashflow and analysis work.
- Liaise with IT team to improve existing processes and reporting functions within accounting and operational systems
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards, best practices and local government regulations
- Retain constant awareness of the company’s financial position and act to prevent problems
- Take a pro-active approach to identify opportunities to implement process improvement in the full financial process
Hiring Criteria
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy / ACCA
- At least 8 years' of relevant experience, 2 years of which at managerial level
- Experience in handling Pre and Post IPO listing would be advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)
- Experience in using Netsuite and CRM preferred but not required
- Positive Attitude with the ability to keep all financial details confidential.
- Independent worker, resourceful, able to work in a team and show initiative
- Strong proficiency in written and spoken English
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
