What the role is:
The jobholder supports in corporate communications and media relations, staffing the Guest-of-Honour at events, advertising, branding, and design to profile organisation’s spokespersons, volunteers and initiatives. He/she serves as the creative centre for content and collaterals that organisation generates in its daily operations.
What you will be working on:
Media and Public Relations
- Contribute to the organisation’s media relations with various media partners across different media types and channels
- Prepare publicity materials such as media kit, media releases, fact sheets, anticipated FAQs and human-interest stories
- Coordinate media features with partners such as interview requests, media queries and story angles
- Liaise with media partners during events and ensure event coverage by relevant media agencies
Marketing and Communications
- Work with the Communications team to develop an integrated marketing and communications plan that will increase brand awareness and programmes
- Support the Team Lead in driving marketing efforts to promote the organisation’s programmes to target audiences.
Event Management
- Work with various departments to prepare communication materials for Guest-of-Honour including administrative programme, speech, talking points for panel discussion or doorstop interview
- Staffing the senior management and Guests of Honour at events
Media Monitoring
- Conduct daily media scanning to identify mentions and relevant news to the organisation and broadcast results over internal bulletins
- Archive news and ensure that they are properly catalogued and filed for future reference
Collateral Design and Production
- Work with various departments to design programme collaterals such as programme booklets, certificates or other event effects
- Create posters, banners, and other digital or print collateral for the advertisement/marketing of events and products where applicable
- Provide direction to vendors on the development of digital or print content as well as campaigns
Brand Management
- Ensure consistent messaging and communication of the corporate logo and values according to the organisation’s brand guide to internal and external stakeholders
Others
- Any other duties as assigned by the HOD.
What we are looking for:
Candidate should have:
- Strong command of written and spoken English and Malay languages - please provide reason on why these languages are required (e.g. you will work with materials in these languages)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage stakeholders across different levels
- Strong project management and time management skills
- Resourceful and takes initiative to effect change
- Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Canva design tools
- Knowledge of digital media marketing and campaigns and able to edit simple Digital media content is an advantage
Successful candidate will be appointed on contract basis.
