Job description

Sephora Singapore is looking to hire a Senior Executive, Human Resources to drive organizational effectiveness, people development and performance management. This role reports directly to the Head of HR & Education, and would involve being an influential partner, actioning day-to-day HR processes whilst also working on strategic HR projects and striving for best practice.

HR Administration

  • Executing HR and administration system and procedure
  • Handling all administration matters of the company such as relevant supply requisitions approval, document control, Work Pass application / renewal / termination etc
  • Understanding the impact of relevant employment related legislation

Business Partnering & Recruitment

  • Building collaborative and trusting relationships with business leaders, anticipating business needs and implementing appropriate initiatives
  • Providing guidance and advising managers and employees in basic HR related issues
  • Supporting Department Heads to build organization and people capabilities, improving workforce profile to increase efficiencies for long-term business growth
  • Supporting and facilitating talent movement across the business
  • Supporting store recruitment on a need’s basis - support in any scheduling needs for 2nd interview with SLTs/ other ad hoc support needs

Core People Process: Employee Life Cycle

  • Initiating and overseeing the complete employee life cycle, managing seamless onboarding, offboarding, and tracking probation confirmations
  • Designing and executing a comprehensive New Employee Onboarding Program (NEO), providing resources and support for new hires to integrate effectively
  • Facilitating smooth mobility management for foreign candidates joining from outside of Singapore, ensuring legal compliance and a positive transition experience
  • Regularly updating the organization charts where necessary to reflect any internal organization movements
  • Overseeing the comprehensive lifecycle of contractors, managing processes from onboarding new hires to contract renewals and handling the OPL (Operational Performance Level) process, ensuring seamless and efficient management of contractors

Employee Engagement Initiatives

  • Supporting on internal communications, and facilitating the setup of employee engagement initiatives, including but not limited to HR Newsletter, celebrations etc
  • Developing, executing, and supporting a variety of internal engagement events from ideation to execution
  • Brainstorming ideas for HR initiatives and events to help impact our culture
  • Crafting, editing, and preparing communication narratives and copywriting for internal communication channels
  • Support COEs from a logistical standpoint on annual programs such as Talent Reviews and Trainings
  • Collaborating with teams to create strategies that promote a strong company culture and boost employee engagement

Compliance Policy Rollout

  • Developing, reviewing, and implementing HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with local and international regulations
  • Collaborating with legal counsel to ensure policies are legally compliant and regularly updated
  • Developing and implementing a strategic plan for the effective rollout and communication of HR compliance policies throughout the organization
  • Staying informed about changes in labor laws, regulations, and industry best practices, and initiating updates to HR compliance policies accordingly
  • Management of monthly staff discount usage tracking, encompassing communications with employees regarding compliance with usage limits and meticulous monitoring of any non-compliance instances

We would love to hear from you if you are/have…

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or any related discipline
  • At least 4 years’ experience in a HR operational role with business partnering skills
  • Working knowledge of of current employment legislation
  • Experience working in a fast-paced retail, beauty and / or FMCG company
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines, with positive service attitude and good organizational skills
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Ability to effectively use MS Office tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
