[What the role is]
As a Senior Executive / Deputy Manager - IT Governance & Security, you are responsible for the day-to-day management, monitoring, and reporting on the systems and processes that support IT governance, risks, and security.

[What you will be working on]

1. Lead the IT Governance and Security Team to develop frameworks and processes to support both Enterprise and Teaching & Learning business objectives of ITE.
2. Develop, implement, and monitor reporting mechanisms for governance, security, and risk practices to support compliance and highlight areas of exposure.
3. Provide guidance to other IT and business units in conducting and updating risk assessments for IT projects and systems.
4. Review to identify security risks and breaches to ensure the organization’s assets and information are appropriately secured at all times.
5. Communicate security basics to the general user population, including formulating a Security Awareness program to raise user awareness and understanding of basic security concepts.
6. Develop and update the IT Business Continuity Plan.
7. Monitor and review compliance with risk management strategies and practices to ensure ICT-related activities are meeting Singapore Government Instruction Manual and relevant ICT security best practices.
8. Work with project teams to collate, track deliverables, and ensure timely updates to the IT & Digitalisation Steering Committee.
9. Ensure timely submission on various polls and monthly/quarterly/yearly submission requests from internal and external bodies.
10. Collaborate with other corporate oversight functions to identify and implement consistent and effective approaches to risk governance and control-based activities.
11. Conduct regular reviews and audits of IT systems and applications to ensure statutory compliance.
12. Liaise and support internal and external auditors to facilitate IT audits, reviews, and timely closure of audit outcomes.
13. Provide secretariat support to the IT & Digitalisation Steering Committee.
14. Lead in the investigation of cyber security incidents by working with other government agencies.

[What we are looking for]

1. Possess suitable academic or professional credentials in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
2. Possess relevant IT Governance, security, and project management certifications (e.g., COBIT, CISSP, CISM, PMP).
3. Minimum 5 years’ experience in either IT Governance and/or IT Security & Operations.
4. Experience in leading cross-functional teams in IT Governance and/or IT Security & Operations would be an advantage.
5. Possess leadership qualities as well as good people and collaboration skills.
6. Good presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
7. Diligent, resourceful, and able to multitask in a dynamic work environment.
8. Meticulous in planning and tracking.
9. Familiarity with tendering procedures, ICT Security Standards in Singapore Public Service, and managing IT budgets would be an advantage.
