The Executive/ Senior Executive / Assistant Manager / Senior Assistant Manager will be responsible for the management of assigned clinical service(s) across the continuum of care, and achieving stated outcomes in customer service, volume & financial targets, processes and learning & growth perspectives.
1. Duties and Responsibilities
1.1 Operations
1.1.1 Manage daily operations of assigned service points, including front counter services, administrative, and operational matters, and partnering the Clinic/Nurse Manager and doctors to solve system and process issues.
1.1.2 Review departmental processes to improve overall key performance indicators/ outcomes in the areas of total patient experience, operational efficiency and optimal resources utilisation (where applicable).
1.1.3 Assist with annual budget cycle by recommending required CAPEX and OPEX budget needs and preparing approval papers. Track and monitor approved budget to ensure optimal utilisation.
1.1.4 Participation in the following procurement processes:
1.1.5 Work closely with internal and external stakeholders for Dept of Anaesthesia-specific infrastructure and/or building improvement projects to ensure:
1.2 Customer Service
1.2.1 Responsible for achieving customer satisfaction targets in partnership with the Reporting Officer.
1.2.2 Responsible for devising innovative ways to continually improve service levels.
1.3 Business Management
1.3.1 Responsible for achieving the volume and financial targets for the clinical services assigned, and be responsible for developing and carrying out business plans in conjunction with the clinical heads of departments/divisions to ensure that goals are reached.
1.3.2 Scope of business management includes annual financial budgeting and regular reviews with clinical heads of departments/divisions, and development of new services.
1.4 Staff Management
1.4.1 Manage a group of non-nursing staff providing customer services in service points, jointly with Clinic/Nurse Manager and conduct appraisals for these staff with inputs from the Clinic/Nurse Manager.
1.4.2 Responsible for ensuring that non-nursing staff receive appropriate induction, orientation and training so that they possess appropriate skills and knowledge to carry out their jobs.
1.4.3 Responsible for staff recruitment and retention to achieve a stable, skilled and motivated team, in partnership with the Clinic/Nurse Manager.
1.5 Others
1.5.1 Responsible for communication between staff and leadership of the hospital. He/ She should ensure timely dissemination of information, escalation of issues, recommendation and implementation of solutions to problems.
1.5.2 Perform any other ad-hoc duties and projects assigned by reporting officer.
Job Requirements
Degree from a recognised institution.
Good analytical, co-ordination, interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
Pro-active, self-motivated and able to perform under pressure.
Ability to multi-task, work independently and work in a team.
Service-oriented and customer-focused.
Working experience in the healthcare is an advantage.
