About Department and Purpose of the Position

Reporting to the Head of Department (HOD) of Urology, you will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the clinical HOD and the Department.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Manage the HOD’s calendar, including coordinating meetings for HOD and the department.
  2. Support HOD in the dissemination of information internally and externally.
  3. Provide administrative support, e.g. leave & on-call roster, claims / honorarium, training records, onboarding for clinicians, and point of contact for clinical fellow and visiting consultants.
  4. Assist HOD and clinicians in their travel conference logistics, whenever necessary.
  5. Monitor department fund expenditure, clinical training funds, and staff funds.
  6. Point of contact for asset management, IT asset, and procurement matters for the department.
  7. Assist HOD in the collation and imputing of MOPEX assessment.

Secondary Responsibilities

  1. Provide leave coverage for department executive.
  2. Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor / Head of Department.

Key Requirements

  1. Degree preferably in Business Administration or related qualification.
  2. At least two years’ working experience, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  3. Good coordination, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
  5. Pro-active, self-motivated, with a “can-do” attitude and able to work independently.
  6. Ability to multi-task, work independently, and work in a team.
  7. Experience in clerical and administrative duties (preferably in healthcare) will be preferred.
