We are seeking a skilled Senior Engineer to support BAU (Business as Usual) operations within the Digital Workspace environment. The ideal candidate will manage incident resolution, change requests, upgrades, migrations, SSL fixes, problem resolution, and scripting to ensure seamless operations and enhanced user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
BAU Operations:
Manage day-to-day operations for Digital Workspace platforms.
Resolve incidents, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement root cause analysis.
Execute change requests, including configuration updates and system optimizations.
System Administration:
Provide support for the following technologies:
Unified Access Gateway (UAG)
Horizon Connection Server
Workspace One Access (WS1 Access)
VMware Airwatch and VMware IDM/IDM Connector
Google Cloud Protect and Synch Server
Nvidia Grid, VMware DEM
Thin-client solutions like WSM (Dell Device Manager)
Google Chromebook
Upgrades and Migrations:
Plan and implement upgrades for Digital Workspace systems.
Lead migration activities with minimal impact on end users.
SSL Management:
Perform SSL fixes, certificate renewals, and ensure secure configurations.
Problem Resolution:
Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to Digital Workspace platforms.
Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for timely issue resolution.
Automation and Scripting:
Develop scripts to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
Leverage scripting tools like PowerShell or Python for managing configurations and generating reports.
Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain up-to-date documentation for system configurations, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides.
Ensure compliance with security standards and audit requirements.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in IT operations, specifically with Digital Workspace technologies.
Proven track record in managing incidents, upgrades, and migrations.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in VMware Horizon, Workspace One, and related technologies.
Strong understanding of SSL, certificates, and secure system configurations.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
Hands-on experience with Google Cloud tools and Nvidia Grid.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Certifications:
VMware Certified Professional (VCP) – Digital Workspace
ITIL Foundation Certification
Certifications in Workspace One or Google Cloud tools
Work Environment:
Support 24x7 operations, including on-call responsibilities for critical issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance and user experience.
