Senior Engineer, Plastic

Job Description

1. Liaise with customer, design team and supplier to improve plastic part design and manufacturability.
2. Participate in pFMEA activities to mitigate risks arising from plastic manufacturing process.
3. Participate in product transfer activities or new project.
4. Investigate and resolve process, equipment and part issues.
5. Develop manufacturing processes for new products, equipment and set-up.
6. Perform equipment qualification and process validation.
7. Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
8. Implement Engineering changes for improvements (process, NCR, CAPA, complaints).
9. Generate and release technical documents (e.g. BOM, work instructions, Route card).
10. Conduct training for shop floor personnel.
11. Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

1. Diploma/Degree in Engineering or equivalent. ACTA (or equivalent) Certified is a plus.
2. Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.
3. Knowledge in plastic molding and plastic material properties.
4. Knowledge of extrusion process is an added advantage.
5. Able to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
6. Problem-solving skills.
7. Good communication and presentation skills.
