Senior Dental Surgery Assistant & Trainer

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, implement, and oversee comprehensive training programs for new and existing Dental Surgery Assistants .
• Ensure all staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to maintain high standards in dental assisting.
• Provide hands-on guidance and mentorship to junior DSAs, focusing on skill development, adherence to protocols, and enhancing patient care techniques.
• Create training manuals, instructional guides, and hands-on workshops that focus on infection control, instrument sterilization, patient management, and assisting techniques.
• Regularly assess the performance and competency of DSAs, providing constructive feedback and additional training where necessary to foster a continuous learning environment.
• Ensure that all DSAs adhere to established clinical standards, including infection control measures, instrument preparation, and overall clinic hygiene.
• Support the dental team by assisting in procedures as needed, demonstrating best practices, and setting an example for junior staff.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Relevant experience in dental assisting, with a background in training.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver training programs in a clinical setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide others.
• Strong knowledge of dental procedures, infection control standards, and quality assurance protocols.
• Certification in Dental Assisting or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
