Senior Data Security Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have expertise in at least one international privacy regulation (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, or PDPA), along with familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop. The role is responsible for ensuring data security and regulatory compliance within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement data security measures to protect sensitive data and systems.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify risks and propose solutions.
• Establish and maintain data security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, or PDPA).
• Proactively monitor the latest emerging data security threats and technologies, and respond to security incidents.
• Implement data security measures for both static and in-transit data within big data environments like Hadoop.
• Ensure secure data management throughout its entire lifecycle, from collection to disposal.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in information security, including 3 years in data security and privacy compliance.
• Hands-on experience working on international projects and expertise in at least one major privacy regulation (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, or PDPA).
• Proficiency in big data technologies, such as Hadoop and Flink.
• Strong knowledge of data security technologies, including data discovery, encryption, masking, DLP (Data Loss Prevention), and authentication.
• Experience in security assessments, audits, and privacy compliance frameworks.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
