Senior Data Scientist - Dorothy M.

In view of business expansion, our client is seeking a Senior Data Scientist based in Singapore. The Data Scientist will design, build and execute machine learning techniques on large, complex, structured / unstructured data sets to find out hidden patterns and predictive signals.

The Responsibilities:

1. Identify use cases allowing to take advantage of GenAI & Machine Learning capabilities.
2. Define data science approaches that fit with clients’ business challenges, using state-of-the-art methods to solve problems of large dimensionality in a computationally efficient and statistically effective manner.
3. Build advanced algorithms, using statistical knowledge and machine learning techniques to identify trends, patterns and predictive signals on large data sets.
4. Interact with business stakeholders to understand business data and analytics requirements and identify data-driven business opportunities.
5. Explore information from multiple diverse sources, analyzing data and gain insights into business intelligence that is actionable.
6. Identify and uncover new opportunities, insights, trends, and patterns from analysis to key stakeholders/decision-makers.
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest data science and data engineering techniques and tools.
8. Deploy ML models into production (either alone or working with data engineers if necessary).

The Requirements:

1. Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
2. Over 5 years expertise in Data Science.
3. Good applied skills with statistical programming languages such as R, Python (NumPy, pandas), SAS, SPSS etc.
4. Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g scikit-learn, Spark MLlib, Caffe, TensorFlow) and/or data science platforms (e.g. SAS, Dataiku).
5. Experience of ML and LLM libraries and tools such as MLFlow, Langchain to develop GenAI applications, model experimentation and basic UI development with libraries such as Gradio or Streamlit.
6. Experience with No-Code/Low-Code GenAI tools such as Langflow, Flowise, Rivet.
7. Data-oriented background in SQL, data wrangling and data modelling.
8. Exposure to data visualization tools and/or charting libraries (e.g. Tableau, Qlik, D3.js, GGplot).
9. Familiar with deploying Data projects into cloud (e.g Azure, AWS, GCP).
10. Team player with good interpersonal and problem solving skills.
