Job Summary:
Seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead 24x7 data center operations, enhance reliability, and enforce security measures. Requires 3-5 years' experience, NITEC or Higher NITEC in IT, strong leadership, analytical skills, and communication abilities. Relevant certifications advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead technical support efforts to maintain the continuous operation of a 24x7 operating data centre, overseeing maintenance, repair, and monitoring activities for critical equipment and systems.
Monitor and analyze the performance and availability of HDB's IT services, including processing production jobs and managing incident escalations related to computer hardware, operating systems, application systems, and data centre facilities.
Implement and enforce data centre security measures to safeguard critical assets and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Drive initiatives to enhance the reliability, availability, and performance of the event monitoring system, ensuring alignment with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and driving continuous improvement.
Lead and participate in process improvement projects aimed at optimizing data centre operations and enhancing overall efficiency.
Experience and Skills:
Minimum qualification of NITEC or Higher NITEC in IT or related field, with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience.
Proven track record of leadership and mentorship in a technical environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to adapt to changing requirements and perform shift duties as needed.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals would be advantageous.
