Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to be responsible for the design, build, testing, and delivery of security solutions for customers. The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer’s responsibilities include reviewing current security measures, recommending enhancements, identifying areas of weakness, and responding promptly to possible security breaches. You will also be responsible for conducting regular system tests and ensuring the continuous monitoring of the network's security.

To be a successful Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you should be experienced in information security and IT risk assessment, with a strong understanding of security protocols, authentication, and security. You should also possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to work with a wide variety of people.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Engages with customers on security topics.
• Enhances security team accomplishments and competencies by planning the delivery of solutions and answering technical questions.
• Plans, researches, and designs security architecture for IT systems.
• Develops, reviews, and approves installation requirements for LANs, WANs, VPNs, firewalls, routers, and related network devices.
• Determines security protocols by evaluating business strategies and requirements.
• Responds to, and investigates, security incidents and provides thorough post-event analyses.
• Develops project timelines for ongoing system upgrades.
• Reviews system security measures and implements necessary enhancements.
• Conducts regular tests and monitoring of network security.
• Verifies security systems by developing and implementing test scripts.
• Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging security practices and standards, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.

Requirements:

• A bachelor's or associate's degree in IT, computer science, or related field.
• 5-10 years' experience in information security and IT risk management.
• IT security or risk assessment certifications are advantageous
• Experience in managing firewalls is advantageous
• Advanced understanding of security protocols, cryptography, and security
• A strong working knowledge of IT risks, security implementations, and computer operating software.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
