Job description

Job Scope

Customer service executives use their skills and experience to ensure that a company delivers the highest standards of service to customers, aims to maximize customer satisfaction, and ensure quality deliveries.

Maintaining consistent quality control, standardizing procedures and policies, and establishing expectations of customer service.

Interact with customers and business partners to provide and process information in response to enquiries, concerns, and requests pertaining to shipments, quotations, and operational matters in a timely and accurate manner while providing excellent customer service.

Job Descriptions

  1. Excellent working knowledge of managing sea freight and airfreight - import, export goods and associated documentation
  2. Prepare quotations, handle enquiries and shipping activities
  3. Respond to and follow up on sales enquiries
  4. Service, maintain, and develop existing/new customers through planned individual account support
  5. Negotiate for competitive costs from overseas offices/agents/Shipping Lines/vendors
  6. Coordinate with respective stakeholders i.e., customers, agents, carriers, hauliers, etc., for their import/export/transhipment activities and documentation
  7. Provide support for sales and marketing activities as required
  8. Ensure documentation compliance
  9. Perform cost management
  10. Any other ad hoc task assigned

Job Requirements

  1. Minimum 'O' Level
  2. Preferred some years of working experience in the related field for this position
  3. Good working attitude with a positive mindset, good communication skills, problem/dispute handling
  4. Knowledge of sea/air shipment procedures/processes
  5. Basic knowledge of dangerous goods compliance
  6. Knowledge of portnet/tradenet will be an advantage
  7. Knowledge of costing/pricing will be an advantage
  8. Team player, able to work independently with minimum supervision, self-initiated and task-oriented
  9. Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  10. Being able to start work on short notice will be an advantage
