Job description

As a key member of the Sales Support Team, the Customer Care (Sales Support) reports to the Head of Sales (Singapore and Malaysia). The role focuses on delivering excellent service to our customers with dedicated market focus. The responsibilities include handling customers' queries professionally to orders being placed within the expected timelines and manage inbound contacts via three (3) channels such as phone, email, and periodic sales visits.

The objective is to drive sales growth through contract renewals of the existing contracts, enhance customer satisfaction, and stay informed about the industry trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inside Sales Management: Lead the inside sales team in identifying and developing sales opportunities, supporting sales strategies, and achieving sales targets.
  • End-to-End Operations: Oversee the entire sales support process, from after-sales support and qualification to order processing, delivery coordination, and post-sales follow-up, ensuring smooth execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, motivate, and mentor a team of sales support professionals, ensuring high performance and continuous development.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a liaison between the sales team and customers to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Sales Support & Coordination: Provide administrative and operational support to the sales team, including preparing quotes, processing orders, coordinating shipments, and handling customer inquiries.
  • Sales Reporting & Analysis: Monitor sales performance and generate regular reports, analyzing data to provide actionable insights and recommend improvements.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with other departments (e.g., logistics, finance, marketing) to ensure smooth sales operations and resolve any issues that arise during the sales process.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve sales processes and systems to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business Administration or Lifescience and Biology related qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales support or inside sales, with at least 1 years in a leadership role.
  • Work experience in a SME trading or distributor environment
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team, driving results through effective coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and drive operational efficiency.
  • A proactive, results-oriented mindset with a customer-centric approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in sales support or inside sales within the Life Sciences or healthcare industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Trade Facilities like Letter of Credit is advantageous
