Job description

Job Purpose / Role:

At Allianz Commercial, our Finance Operations team maintains optimal receivable levels by using automated processes, providing full transparency and receivable risk assessments. Our experts produce valuable financial insights for the company and help to protect its assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all accounts receivable / payables are settled as per agreed terms of settlement and booked correctly. This includes the coordination, clarification and balancing of unbalanced items and resolution of differences.
  • Perform credit control function of Accounts Receivable/Payable and related account reconciliations as assigned. Ensure transparency of Accounts Receivables / Payables balances in own are of responsibility and actively drive resolution of issues.
  • Prepare/review outgoing statements and execute corresponding settlements with the counterparts (e.g., Allianz / AGCS OE´s, Reinsurers, and brokers).
  • Remind due Accounts Receivables and perform corresponding cash allocations.
  • Document application of policies, procedures, and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility and archive records to satisfy audit and statutory requirements. In this regard you can also draft standards to improve quality.
  • Work collaboratively with other Functional areas (Operations, Accounting, Claims) in establishing processes, booking flows, accuracy completeness controls and resolution of differences/queries.
  • Maintain a collaborative relationship with internal & external counterparts. Provide professional and timely customer service to internal and external customers.

Key Requirements /Skills / Experience:

  • You have a degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent work experience.
  • You have proven experience in accounting and credit control practice in an international environment.
  • Ideally experience in insurance accounting.
  • Analytical skills and the ability to understand and interpret complex data and processes.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint to analyse and present data in a compelling way to a variety of stakeholders. Database skills would be an advantage.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work efficiently in a professional, international working environment.
  • Data-driven and innovation minded.
  • Fluent in English (able to negotiate) and other languages would be an advantage.
