Care Corner Singapore Ltd is a social service organisation that has been serving the community since 1981. Our mission is to provide comprehensive support services to individuals and families in need, with a focus on promoting healthy family functioning and stability.

We are seeking a Counsellor/Senior Counsellor/Social Worker to join our team in Family Support Services (FAM@FSC, WL). As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing casework and counselling services to families, as well as delivering divorce support programmes and services to families affected by divorce.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct counselling sessions for individuals, couples, and families experiencing stress due to family-related issues with moderate complexity, including online counselling.
  2. Identify, assess, and manage risks inherent in complex cases by integrating various information and screening tools.
  3. Plan, review, and facilitate groupwork intervention for parents and children.
  4. Facilitate premarital and divorce-related programmes and workshops to equip couples and parents with knowledge and skills to enhance relationships and cope with life transitions.

Supervisory and Appraisal:

  1. Provide programme, practice/clinical, and administrative supervision to Assistant Senior Counsellor/Social Worker and/or intern using screening tools and organisational practice framework to guide staff in case assessment and case planning.
  2. Lead and guide Assistant Senior Counsellor/Social worker in case management and conducting case conferences.
  3. Prepare, review, and endorse court reports.
  4. Assess supervisees' capabilities and identify training needs to enhance supervisees' professional growth.
  5. Conduct quarterly performance appraisal of Assistant Senior Counsellors/Social workers.

Research and Practice:

  1. Lead research to build domain-specific knowledge in the local context.
  2. Review research evidence to implement, facilitate, and evaluate groupwork and programmes.
  3. Review and plan the training roadmap of practitioners to ensure continuous development of practitioners.
  4. Lead in implementation of standard of care, organisational health policies, procedures.
  5. Conduct internal training for team/service point.

Network and Advocacy:

  1. Plan and conduct networking and advocacy sessions with community partners/stakeholders.
  2. Advocate for target families, aiming for families to have access to equal opportunities through collaborative practice with community partners/stakeholders and funders.

Practice Governance:

  1. Support the Centre Manager in implementing practice standards, protocols, processes, and policies.

Requirements:

  1. Master's Degree in Counselling or Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, preferably with recognised certification in Counselling.
  2. A Counsellor should have at least three years of working experience.
  3. As a Senior Counsellor, should have around eight years of relevant casework/counselling experience in education, counselling, social work, or related work involving family, parents, and children, and have experience in conducting training and workshops.
  4. Proven leadership track record in previous experiences.
  5. Accredited member of SASW and/or clinical member of SAC, as well as Registered Clinical Supervisor of SAC.

Estimated Salary: SGD $4,500 - SGD $6,000 per month.
