Senior Cost Accounting Specialist (Manufacturing) / Jurong / $9K - $11K

This position is responsible for conducting monthly closings and developing business plans. It entails managing and conducting due diligence on the production corporation's inventories, overseeing the factory budget, and leading the optimization of costs, as well as chairing the operating cost optimization committee.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct monthly COGS closings and provide timely reports to management and global HQ.
• Perform COGS analysis, compare actual performance against planned and standard costs.
• Assist Project Managers in managing investment budgets and monitoring current budget status.
• Prepare monthly and annual P&L estimates, comparing actual performance to the annual plan.
• Define criteria for analyzing cost performance, including setting standard material and processing costs.
• Identify inefficiencies in processes and implement cost reduction plans based on analysis of standard vs. actual performance.
• Oversee production facilities and material inventories, ensuring accurate asset management through regular reconciliation and stock-taking.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels to avoid cost distortions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accountancy or relevant discipline.
• Min 8 years of relevant experience in cost accounting, including sales cost settlement and inventory management.
• Experience in financial accounting, with knowledge of IFRS/SFRS and its application.
• Experience in cost accounting and budgeting.
• Proficiency in using SAP Controlling module for actual cost settlement.
• Strong skills in analyzing cost structures.
• Familiarity with cost accounting principles and effective cost allocation methods.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools such as R or Python.
• Prior experience in SAP SuccessFactors would be advantageous.
