Summary

Responsible for the oversight of Fund Accounting and Financial Reporting functions. Interacts with various business areas and adheres to the oversight program in accordance with the outsourcing guideline. The Senior Fund Accounting Consultant reviews and signs off Fund's NAV and is the first point of reference for day-to-day queries related to fund accounting matters, serving as a liaison internally and with clients to ensure issue resolution.

Major Duties

Fund Accounting

  1. Liaise with the offshore team on NAV production.
  2. Ensure NAVs are issued accurately and within defined timeframes.
  3. Ensure the accurate and timely payment of operating expenses.
  4. Liaise with new clients to determine fund structure and support the fund onboarding.
  5. Assist clients in resolving complex fund accounting issues and/or other fund administration matters.

Financial Reporting

  1. Review and preparation of interim and annual financial statements for Funds including the completion of consolidated financial statements for complex cross-border structures.
  2. Active liaison with clients and external auditors, dealing with audit queries.
  3. Ensure agreed client service levels and regulatory filing deadlines are met.

Other Tasks

  1. Maintain a strong level of KPIs and high touch client service quality, and build professional rapport with clients. Prepare and participate in internal service review meetings on Fund Accounting functions delegated to offshore centers. Conduct projects, assist in fund onboarding, and execute stretched assignments.

Skills/Qualifications

  1. Holds a recognized Professional Accounting Qualification.
  2. At least 8-10 years of fund accounting/financial reporting experience required.
  3. Knowledge of IFRS/US GAAP.
  4. Working knowledge of Singapore regulatory/tax regime as it relates to Fund Accounting and Financial Reporting.
  5. Retail fund accounting experience preferred.
  6. Strong knowledge of Excel and Fund Accounting platforms.
  7. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  8. Independent, flexible and adaptable to change.
  9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  10. Good organizational skills and time management.
  11. Language - English (required), Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
