Senior Communication and Engagement Officer

Department/Program: Maternal & Child Health

Reports To: Senior Officer

Employment Type: Full-Time Contractual

Location: Singapore

Job Purpose

The incumbent will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of communication-related aspects of program activities, monitoring and evaluating field activities, and managing social media content and campaigns to ensure effective community engagement and outreach. This role requires a balance of creative and analytical skills to expand digital reach, ensure effective communication deliverables, and foster strong community relationships. The incumbent will support the mCCTs program activities, contributing to their successful implementation and communication.

Responsibilities

Branding and Social Media Management:

  • Develop and implement social media strategies to enhance the organization's brand presence.
  • Create and curate content for various social media platforms to engage and grow the audience.
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns for projects and events. Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics, including reach, impressions, and engagement rates.
  • Increase overall digital reach by 30%, with a 40% increase in social media followers and a 25% increase in engagement over the next year.
  • Provide monthly reports detailing social media analytics, follower growth, engagement metrics, and reach.

Community Engagement:

  • Oversee day-to-day activities of the community engagement field staff.
  • Act as a liaison between field staff and technical teams at project sites.
  • Conduct quarterly training sessions or workshops for team members to enhance skills and foster collaboration.
  • Track and manage budget utilization for community engagement activities.
  • Monitor results of communication-related aspects of program implementation and provide monthly progress reports.
  • Monitor and evaluate activities conducted by field officers, reporting deviations from monthly plans.
  • Submit detailed post-event reports within one week of each event, outlining key metrics, attendee feedback, and areas for improvement.
  • Support mCCTs program activities by effectively communicating program goals, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders and the community.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record in branding, social media management, and community engagement.
