About the role

The Senior Commissioning Engineer/Commissioning Engineer is responsible for executing commissioning activities for Industrial and Municipal Water Treatment and Effluent Plants, including pre-commissioning, process commissioning, performance testing, and troubleshooting. The role involves fieldwork, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and preparation of technical documentation. Strong experience in water treatment processes and equipment troubleshooting is required, along with a degree in Engineering and at least 5 years of field experience.

Main Job Responsibilities

1. Execute commissioning activities independently or under supervision for Industrial/Municipal Effluent Treatment Plants & Water Treatment Plants (UPW/Desalination). The commissioning activities include but are not limited to:
1. Pre-Commissioning
2. Wet Commissioning
3. Process Commissioning
4. Performance Test
5. Documentation and handover to the client
6. Post commissioning support
2. Review P&IDs, PFD, Mass Balance, Design Basis Reports, Control Philosophy, Cause & Effect Matrix
3. Work with multidisciplinary teams (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and control) to ensure that the installations are as per design.
4. Preparation of Commissioning Plan, Commissioning Check Lists, Commissioning Procedures, Performance Test procedure and report, SOPs and O&M Manual.
5. Preparation/review and submission of daily progress reports, weekly and monthly reports & commissioning logs/reports, Commissioning Punch Lists preparation, distribution and tracking.
6. Preparation of Method Statements & Risk Assessments
7. Data analysis and troubleshooting of equipment and processes
8. Identify design, installation and functional defects of process equipment, piping, instrument and control and provide necessary feedback advisory to the relevant teams and ensure the closure of the defects for smooth operation of the plants.
9. Conduct Site Acceptance Tests, Performance test for plant proving, submission of relevant reports and ensure client’s endorsement.
10. Support project team for the successful closure of projects

Required Skill Set

1. Reverse Osmosis: Membrane Loading, Commissioning, Operation, Process Troubleshooting projections, Knowledge about anti scalants, Dechlorination, Cleaning and Sanitization, LSI, SDI, Membrane Profiling.
2. Installation Check, Commissioning, operation and troubleshooting of Ultrafiltration, DAF, MBR, MBBR, Clarifiers, Ammonia strip, Filter Press, Centrifuge, Crystallizers, Evaporators
3. Start up and commissioning of process pumps, Chemical Dosing Pumps, Compressors, Blowers, Mixers, Heat Exchangers, Polymer Preparation and Dosing Systems, Clarifiers
4. Experience in operation of Coagulation and Flocculation Units, Sound Knowledge about Chemical coagulation and flocculation
5. Proficiency in English, Microsoft Office/Excel/Power Point/Projects
6. Education Graduation in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Biochemical Engineering Graduates. Other qualifications may be considered depending on Experience.
7. At least 8 years of experience especially in water treatment company/project
