As aSeniorCloud Engineer, you will beworking on cloud operations in the delivery team. You will execute daily cloud operations as well as cloud implementations in technical customer engagements including basic operations and administration, specific implementation projects and/or pilots in Cloud.
The Cloud Engineer should have experience in delivery roles and success in implementation discussions, hands-on experience with good client handling skills and good team player within the team. You should also be able to provide solutions and technical expertise to fellow team members and in client accounts
What will you do?
- Implement and manage complex Cloud network structures within AWS and Azure ecosystems and ensuring optimal performance and security. Execute the migration of network services and Cloud workloads with minimal downtime and disruption.
- Familiarity with AWS/Azure native firewall, SAAS connectivity, NLB, ELB, GWLB, NAT Gateways, Transit gateways, API gateways, control tower and CloudFront is highly desirable.
- Responsible for the infrastructure network design, implementation, testing, security, managing and maintenance of proposed system
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, predominantly Terraform, for infrastructure deployment and management.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and supervision of projects, ensuring they are completed within the set timelines and budget. Work in close collaboration with various teams within the organization, fostering a cooperative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and promotes project success.
- Maintain detailed documentation throughout the project, including network diagrams, configuration details, and operational procedures. Translate complex technical concepts into clear, understandable language for non-technical stakeholders.
- Conduct thorough testing post-migration to validate the new network's functionality and performance. Provide ongoing support post-migration, including troubleshooting network issues, optimizing network performance
- Work closely with Team Leader to meet system delivery milestones
- Provide technical documentation support to Project & Solutions Teams, as well as hand over as-built system documentation to Maintenance support team
- Engage with back-line support and/or with vendor’s support to diagnose and rectify technical problems.
- Assist in day-to-day operation of the System Delivery team
- Carry out other technical related duties that may be required.
- Respond promptly to incidents and SRs
- Perform NAC ClearPass administration for security posture check enforcement
- Analyse network utilization pattern and problems, recommend and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Provide standby and support service for network upgrades
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology related field, or IT equivalent
- Typically 5-8years of hands-on practical experience in configuring routers/switches (e.g., CISCO and Alcatel), firewalls, and intrusion detection/protection systems
- Trained and minimally be proficient in the following areas:
- Network technologies and protocols;
- Network Configuration;
- Network utilization and performance monitoring;
- Network fine-tuning, problem troubleshooting, interpretation of statistics and traffic pattern; and
- Firewall rules configuration and security setting.
- Able to articulate Wireshark and Network Monitoring tools
- Able to handle demanding service response and recovery turnaround
- Able to manage daily support tasks to meet stringent SLA requirements
- Excellent scheduling and multitasking skills
- Meticulous and process-oriented
- Good, hard-working attitude with ability to work well under pressure
- Good communication skills English (written, spoken)
- Good analytical skills with ability to work with others to resolve problems.
- Good organization skills, with ability to properly document and track information
- Having experience in WOG environment is a plus
- Good understanding with Change Management processes
- CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification, or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Network Specialist in Cloud environments, specifically AWS and Azure
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Chef, and Puppet will be an added advantage.
- AWS and Azure certifications
- In-depth knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, with a focus on Terraform and ansible
- Able to travel as required
