Senior Chemical Engineer - Pyrolysis & Biochar

Job Scope

• Oversee the design, development and optimisation of pyrolysis and biochar production systems
• Conduct research and testing to improve the efficiency and sustainability of our pyrolysis and biochar technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate pyrolysis and biochar solutions into our product offerings
• Analyse process data, identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and safety standards
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and technicians
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies and best practices in chemical engineering, particularly within the pyrolysis and biochar domains

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience as a Chemical Engineer, with a strong focus on pyrolysis and biochar processes
• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field
• Proven track record of leading the design, development and optimisation of complex chemical engineering systems
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and critical-thinking skills
• Strong technical expertise in areas such as thermodynamics, reaction kinetics, and process control
• Experience in managing cross-functional projects and collaborating with diverse teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
