Primary job scope
• Lead and manage team members in one specific vertical team.
• Creating development plans and forecasting sales targets and growth projections
• Meeting potential clients and building positive relationships. Implement effective sales actions according to the sales target drawn by company.
• Implement and develop sales activities in the responsible sales area under the leadership
• Identifying market opportunities through meetings, networking, and other channels.
• Meet/Exceed the sales task,complete the responsible task independently
• Maintain the existing customer, establish the detailed customer files
• Be an AR controller according to the account period required by company
Specific requirement activity *
• Regularly visit customer, attend QBR/MBR and maintain relationships.
• Perform sales call to new/potential customers which are raised on target list given.
• Perform market investigation, research, list up the New/Potential customers.
• Propose solution to overcome and obtain new business & share-up business both Air, Ocean, and Cross border trucking.
• Report irregularities to a direct superior in a timely manner.
• Perform trouble shooting on issues. Investigate the route cause with Air/Ocean operation team and propose the counter measure which clarifies the details of 5W1H and discuss on future correspondence with the customers.
• Settle the outstanding account receivable based on the terms and conditions given.
• To manage the RFQ (Spot, Monthly, 3 months, Annual) with RFQ team and to do the rate proposal to customers both Air and Ocean business.
• Share market information proactively to the existing customers and target customers.
• Input sales progress in CRM system within timeline.
• Expand Singapore export/import business ( both Air and Ocean ) and minor manage 3rd party business (offshore business- if the business owner is Singapore customer ).
• Working closely with overseas office to share information and get closer to the business.
• To create the sales report by timeline monthly basis.
• Join visit customer with sales members to support/advise, if necessary.
• Hold team meeting in regular basis , understand team sales status and provide necessary advise / guidelines.
Competency
• Diploma / Degree in Freight Forwarding, Logistics & Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
• Min 3 years’ experience in senior sales manager position in freight forwarding industry
• Leadership experience in managing a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (word , excel , power point )
• Experience in profitability simulations, progress report and preparing presentation slides / proposal.
• Good in communication and negotiation. Excellent presentation skill.
• Strong organizational and management skills.
• Strategic thinking and statistical analysis skills.
• Proactive, resourceful with ability to work well independently or in groups.
• Enthusiastic about sales job, teamwork spirit, communication skill and interpersonal.
• Must be open and honest.
• Must be brisk and active and quick work.
• Need quick response and reporting in case of any irregularities.
• Detail and accurate for reports
• Complete task within deadlines
• Relevant experience of operation work in Air or Ocean operation department would be at advantage.
